Do You Need God to Wipe Out Your Bad Record?

You will love many of the verses in this meaningful Psalm! We all are in need of God’s mercy, so let's commit this psalm to memory (and/or meditate on it), one verse per week. David wrote Psalm 51 after the prophet Nathan confronted him about his sin of adultery and murder.

Psalm 51:1 (New International Version)

Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions.

Psalm 51:1(The Message) / For meditation purposes.
Generous in love—God, give grace!
Huge in mercy—wipe out my bad record.

I am thankful to serve a God Who loves me and extends mercy to me, every time I confess my sin to Him!

What about you?

  • Recall a time when you knew you didn’t deserve God’s love—when you desperately needed God to wipe out your bad record. Take some time thanking Him for His incomparable compassion. 1. I recall a time that I wish I could delete from my history. It was a season of immorality, even as a believer. If it wasn't for God's amazing love for me, His tremendous ability to forgive me, I would be eaten up with even more regret. I love the way He loves me!

    Father, thank You for being You. All that You are!! I love You so very much.

  2. He is always faithful to forgive us when we go to Him asking Him to be merciful, isn't He? That is one of the things I find so amazing about Him.

    1. He's is an awesome God!!
